One of our greatest achievements…to improve the quality of our childrens’ lunch program!
In the fall of 2010, we introduced the Groothie® to Germantown Friends School, a K-12 Quaker School in Philadelphia, PA. We are very proud to have our Groothie® featured on their menu in the school cafeteria. Williamson Hospitality, the food service company for GFS, sells over a 100 cups of the Groothie® each day! We plan to expand to other schools that they serve in the fall.
Our long term goal is to have Groothies® provided in every school cafeteria. We now know how to make them available in private schools, which is fantastic and we will pursue getting them there. The challenge is to get them into public schools. We firmly believe that until children are fed nutritiously, they aren’t able to learn to their ability. The processed foods being provided in schools are like glue on their brains. Please help us help the children – they are the future of this country!
