The Groothie® is Get Real Get Raw’s signature healthy recipe! This green smoothie can be an easy, delicious way to incorporate raw foods into your everyday life.

Yield: 3-4 servings


2 organic apples (diced)
3-4 bananas (frozen)
2 cups pineapple (diced)*
2 handfuls of organic dark leafy greens (chopped)**
2 cups filtered water

*Apples and bananas are staples in the recipe, but experiment with the third fruit. Try mango, peach, cantaloupe – whatever fruit you love and is available to you.

**Other leafy greens include spinach, collard greens, Swiss chard, etc. Always organic! Have fun!


1. Wash all ingredients.
2. Peel bananas and pineapples.
3. Dice all fruits.
4. Add water.
5. Place ingredients in blender, and blend until smooth.

Other tips

Groothie® is best consumed within 24 to 48 hours.

Maximize nutrients by changing up dark leafy greens every so often.

Never throw out very ripe bananas. They are smoothie-perfect when spotted! Just peel, throw in a plastic baggie, and freeze.

For best results and to get your smoothie smooth, try using a high-powered blender like the Waring Xtreme, VitaMix, Blendtec, or NutriBullet.

If using a standard blender, add leafy greens, apples and water to blender first. Blend until liquefied. Then add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.

Apples and leafy greens are included on the Environmental Working Group's DIRTY DOZEN. Therefore, we always use the organic option in our Groothie, and encourage you to do the same.
